Hartford Compressors Inc has a program of ongoing research and testing. We maintain an On-Site Laboratory with eleven operating stations enabling us to test compressors from 3 to 1000 horsepower.

Our engineers can design tests to customer specifications. We perform positive displacement testing of system performance using sophisticated instrumentation and procedures. We also test a variety of other compressor characteristics such as noise, vibration and mechanical reliability.

Our testing procedures are in accordance with ASHRAE Standard 23 and instrumentation is calibrated in accordance with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

We can test with most refrigerants available today: R22, R134a, R407c, R507, R410A, and R717.

Our research program also includes testing and evaluation of new environmentally friendly refrigerants as they become available. Through a commitment to research, we continually advance the art and science of compressor design and manufacturing.
